Our executive team will review your application and role availability, and get back to you 1-2 weeks after form submission.

Not at all. You just need to be far along enough in your own practice to explain concepts clearly to someone who is just starting out. If you have a strong grasp of the fundamentals and want to share your knowledge with others, that's exactly what we're looking for.

This will depend on the role you choose. If you are interested in content creation (i.e. write an article or create a video), your name or nickname, last initial and general location (state if inside USA and country if outside USA) will be shared on your staff profile.

Art mentors will remain fully anonymous. Outreach coordinators and content editors aren't listed publicly but will disclose their involvement when reaching out to others.

Apples For Artists is a passion project, so all roles are currently volunteer-based. We are currently in the process of getting 501 (c) status for volunteer hours. That said, your work will be properly credited, and contributing is a meaningful extracurricular if you're building a portfolio or college application.

We work in 3-month content rounds, each focused on creating and editing a batch of tutorials before release. Within each round, creators follow a simple drafting cycle: first draft in week 2, second draft in week 4, and final draft in week 6, with editor feedback in between. Content is then formatted and published on the site.

Your tutorials and videos will only be used on the Apples For Artists site. We won't use your work for anything beyond the site (e.g. social media) without your consent.
